This breaks my heart!
I am astounded by this level of cruelty, this lack of compassion, empathy. And I am ashamed this outrage is being executed on American shores. America should be a beacon of light, a sanctuary, not the heart of darkness, a reservoir of hate and depravity.
“Severely ill immigrants, including children with cancer, cystic fibrosis, and other grave conditions, are facing deportation under a change in Trump administration policy…” WBUR
“The Trump administration has axed a program that allowed immigrants with serious health conditions—including children and people with disabilities—and their families to remain in the United States while receiving life-saving medical treatment.
The “medical deferred action” program was recently eliminated by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services without warning. Immigrants and visitors—and their families—are being notified by letter that they must leave the country within 33 days of receipt. For many immigrants, this means leaving critical medical care behind, which could prove to be a death sentence.
‘I feel like I’m signing my son’s death warrant.’

I never thought this administration could sink lower than the racism, the bullying, the white supremacy embrace, the condoning of Neo-Nazi’s violence, the Islamophobia, the demonization of Hispanics, the splitting apart of families at the border, the labelling of immigrants seeking the American Dream as criminals and drug dealers.
I thought we were at the bottom of this Administration’s cesspool.
I was wrong. They are now targeting kids with cancer, terminal illnesses, sabotaging their lifelines in some cruel revenge agenda. Who even conceives of such cruelty—I suspect it is Stephen Miller, Trump’s immigration consigliere.
With all the pressing problems confronting America today: gun control, peace in the Middle East, the North Korea situation, Trade Wars, Racial conflict, etc., etc.—and this Administration finds time to send out letters to parents of severely sick children, giving them 33 days to leave the country, or be arrested and deported, which in essence serves as a death warrant for their sick children.
This level of cruelty, bullying, anti-Semitic, anti-immigration rhetoric is reminiscence of Germany during the 1930’s as a demagogue rose to power, promising he would make Germany great again…
